With a population just under 9,000 residents and a size of 3.6 square miles, this community is constantly growing, but remains free from the busy, rushed feeling that more urban areas possess. A little bit about Woodcliff Lake…

Woodcliff Lake is one of northern New Jersey’s most upscale communities. The town is very developed, only about 2 percent of the land is vacant. It is also a predominantly residential area; however, many top businesses have their headquarters and major offices within the town. This includes BMW North America, Ingersoll Rand World Headquarters and Sony. Don’t let these big business names deter you from thinking it is an industrialized community. Even just a drive through the area will show that in Woodcliff Lake, residential properties occupy most of the town.

This borough of Bergen County also offers excellent recreation for its residents. The well-known Wood Dale Park is located in the Woodcliff Lake area, and is comprised of over 50 acres. It has walking paths, playgrounds, a pond and tennis courts, not to mention a beautiful landscape. One the other side of town is the Old Mill Complex which also has tennis courts, playgrounds, sports fields and a swimming pond. The town also has an excellent recreation department that provides recreational programs and activities for both children and adults.

For those with children, you will be happy to know that the school systems in Woodcliff Lake are extremely high in quality. Classes are kept generally small, and the staff is experienced. Woodcliff Lake’s internal school district educates kindergarten to eighth-grade students. Once students enter high school they merge with Pascack Valley Regional High School that has students from the towns of Hillsdale, Woodcliff Lake, River Vale and Montvale. This high school has a very extensive and intensive curriculum that includes classes in business, English, mathematics, the arts, world languages and technology. There are also excellent private and parochial schools in the Woodcliff Lake area.

Is living in Woodcliff Lake feasible?

The average home value in the year 2000 for a single-family home in Woodcliff Lake was just under $460,000. Now single-family homes listed for sale in the town have prices between $500,000 and $1 million. These homes also generally have between three and four bedrooms and two and four bathrooms.
